1. Who is responsible
The SIA 2026 app is published by AXES MARKETING, a single-member SARL, RCCM CI-ABJ-2001-B-261.119, Cocody II Plateaux, 08 B.P. 156 Abidjan 08, organiser of the Abidjan Infrastructure Show.
For any question about your personal data: sia@axesmarketing.com.
2. What we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work. The table below is the complete inventory.
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you create an account | Sign-in identifier, password recovery, sending your badge |
| First and last name | When you register for the show | Personalising your entry badge and the attendee directory |
| Phone number | At registration (optional) | Reaching you if there is a problem with your accreditation |
| Company, job title, city, country, title | At registration (optional) | Attendee networking, aggregate show statistics |
| Registration code (badge) | Generated at registration | Access control at the show entrance |
| Profile photo | If you add one | Identifying you to other attendees |
| Interests | If you provide them | Recommending stands and sessions |
| Favourites and saved sessions | When you add them | Your personal agenda and reminders |
| Connection requests and messages | If you use networking | Letting you talk to other attendees |
| Reviews and ratings of sessions and exhibitors | If you post them | Showing ratings in the app |
| Reports | If you report content or a profile | Moderation and attendee safety |
| Notification token (FCM) and device type | If you allow notifications | Sending you show alerts |
| Usage and diagnostic data | Continuously, in aggregate | Measuring audience, detecting crashes and slowdowns |
| Approximate location | Only if you sign in with Google | Derived by Google server-side as part of its sign-in service. The app never requests access to your location and does not use this data for any feature. |
Permissions the app requests
- Camera — to scan QR codes (badges and stands) and, if you choose, to take your profile picture. No image is stored or transmitted during a scan.
- Photos and files — only if you choose a profile picture.
- Notifications — only if you allow them; you can turn them off at any time in your phone's settings.
What we do not do. We do not collect your precise location: the app never requests location permission and contains no geolocation feature. We do not sell any data, and we do not use your data for advertising, commercial profiling, or tracking across apps.
3. Why we collect it
Every item in the table above is processed for one of these reasons:
- Providing the service — registering you, issuing your badge, running your account.
- Your consent — notifications, networking, profile photo, interests. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest — security, moderation, aggregate audience measurement and improving the app.
4. Who has access
Your data is hosted on Google Firebase (Google Cloud Platform), our technical processor, which stores and processes it on our behalf. The services used are: authentication, the Firestore database, file storage, notifications (FCM), audience measurement, and crash and performance reporting.
Some data may be transferred to and stored outside Côte d'Ivoire, on Google's infrastructure.
If you turn on networking, your name, company, job title and photo become visible to other registered attendees. This visibility is off by default and is controlled from your profile.
An official registration partner may create an account on your behalf when you register through their own channel. In that case they send only the information needed for your accreditation.
We do not share your data with any other third party, except where required by law.
5. How long we keep it
- Account and registration — until you delete your account, or at most twelve months after the close of the edition concerned.
- Messages and connections — deleted with your account.
- Diagnostics and audience measurement — kept in aggregate for Google Firebase's default retention periods.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, object to the processing of, and port your data.
- Access and correction — directly in the app, via Profile → Edit profile.
- Erasure — see the next section.
- Objection and portability — write to us at sia@axesmarketing.com.
We respond within thirty days. You may also contact the Ivorian telecommunications regulator (ARTCI).
7. Deleting your account
Deletion is permanent and removes your account together with its data: profile, show registration, badge code, favourites, agenda, messages and notifications.
In the app: Profile → Delete my account.
If you no longer have access to the app, the full procedure is on the Delete my account page.
8. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted by server-side security rules: each person can read and change only their own data. Administrative access is limited to authorised staff.
9. Children
The app is aimed at industry professionals and is not intended for people under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe an account was created by a minor, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
This policy may change. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. If a change is substantial, we will tell you in the app.
